The flexible controller for a complex extrusion line

The EXTRUSION PACK² OPEN XL is a ready-for-connection system for the automation of a complex extrusion line.

The most important features are: 

• control of 9 temperatures, heating and/or heating/cooling, optional up to 29 heating and/or heating/cooling with pre-tuning
• control of up to 4 drives, e.g. main and coextruder as well as melt-pump and take-off unit
• storage of recipes internal and USB Stick
• two freely configurable control loops, e.g. for melt pressure control or profile edge
• optional module fields, rotary impulse encoders and function keys are available
• the PLC used is a Mitsubishi FX3U. Its functionality has been extended by the new multi-zone temperature control module RE10TC with 10 heating/cooling controllers
• 15" operating unit with touch screen
• user acess controlled by password
• online language switchover
• external speed setpoint
• trend curve display of all process data
• Option heating current monitoring prepared
