The major production units in car manufacturing are body making, paintwork and assembly. Here, the different production methods are applied, from highly automated handling to manual assembly. To ensure the complex flow of materials between those areas, conveyor technology is used throughout the entire production.

The entire conveyor system for body making and assembly in No. 3 Auto Plant of Shanghai Volkswagen is equipped with REDIS displays.
